What’s the gimmick with the $1 watch batteries?
None! It is not a money maker but a very clever way of getting you to visit our shop. You get a great deal and get to see what we are all about… it is very inexpensive advertising for us. By the way, the $1 for the battery is for a brand NEW battery. It also includes installation and state sales tax!
This special will be ending May 31st - batteries with installation will increase to $3 each.
How long have you been in business?
Gemistry officially began as a home based business in 1986. We opened our original location at 2855 Horseshoe Pike in 1994. We moved to our
current location, 2751 Horseshoe Pike in 2006.
What are your qualifications?
I have been collecting, selling & cutting gems for 30+ years. I have been a goldsmith for 20+ years and I am GIA certified for diamond
grading. My specialty is in colored gemstones and diamonds.
Do you do appraisals?
Yes, verbal appraisals are free. If you require documentation, we do written appraisals at the rate of $35 per item. Please check with
your insurance company to determine what minimum item value may require a written appraisal.

Sizings start at $35. Sizing prices increase depending upon the metal composition of your ring, the finished size required and degree of
Do you accept layaways and payment plans?
We are a small business and have very reasonable prices. We do offer a 0-30-60-90 day payment plan. This split’s the purchase price into 4
equal payments. Your jewelry is released to you upon completed payment.

Do you offer appointments outside of business hours?
Infrequently, please inquire.
Do you make loans against jewelry?
No, we are not a pawn shop.
